GESTURE (inclusive)
An Exhibition
February 9 - March 3, 2010
at the Hopkins Gallery
In recent years, gesture has been recognized in the arts, humanities, and human sciences as a vital and no longer secondary aspect of how we understand what it means for human thought and affect to be embodied. The conference, together with the exhibition, will bring together scholars with a variety of perspectives addressing gesture in relation to inscriptional practices, theatre movement, music, dance, the visual image, Signing, art, architecture, and digital representation.
